In 1991, Shuntaro Okino made his debut with U.K rock inspired guitar band "Venus Peter". "venus peter" was a representative in the genre called shibuya-kei.(like cornelius,pizzicato five..) After disbanding, he continued his activities solo artist as "Shuntaro Okino".
It is known as "Cloud Age Symphony" which we offered to TV anime "LAST EXILE".
80s, 90s Revival is definitely getting normal. He released an answer as a indie pop originator for the music scene in 2018. The evergreen melody still keeping freshness was sung in all song English by a collaboration with Australian painter Damian Broomhead, while there was a song reminiscent of Venus Peter era, reflecting the modern sense captured by Okino's distinctive sense of smell It is an ambitious work. As the title suggests, those songs are releasing 'The Spark of Life'. Okino says "I was conscious of the short story novel " It is an album with a strange charm that also has such a taste.

    90年代初頭、当時渋谷系の代表格であったバンド”Venus Peter”(ヴィーナス・ペーター) のヴォーカリストとしてデビュー。 解散後は楽曲提供や元祖DIYミュージシャン ”Indian Rope”としての活動、TVアニメ「Last Exile」の主題歌等、その表現方法は多岐にわたる。 2015年、15年振りのソロアルバム「F-A-R」を突如発表しシーンに復帰。2018年には最新アルバムである「The Spark」をリリース。 昨今においてはバンド”Venus Peter”の活動再開やアイドルグループ ”Negicco”への楽曲提供など活動の幅を広げている。
