Under the eaves lay a bamboo horse from twenty years ago.
The "knots" my late grandfather carved for me are now clutched in my child's small hands.
The dry "thump-thump" of unfamiliar footsteps striking the ground.
That rhythm connected the image of my grandfather smiling in the sky with the sight of my child growing strong.
Set to the same rhythm as my own heartbeat "85 bpm" this story of overlapping lives across three generations is whispered softly, like a breath in your ear.
May it reach everyone who holds a cherished person in their thoughts.
