At the bottom of a night
we thought had burned out,
a fire still remains.

Shattered ideals,
cracked pride-
they are still breathing within the ashes.

"Ash Dance" is the rhythm of survival,
stomping forward
even while on the verge of collapse.

The footsteps are not a prayer.
Not even a scream.
Yet they carve existence into the dark.

It's okay to fall apart.
It's okay to be scarred.
There are nights when dancing
is the only way to survive.

Deep within the ashes,
something is still burning.
