Tina
I’ve gotta let you know
Something that you may know
But I’ve got to tell you
Today
I felt happy to be alive
Happy to be kissed by the sun
Happy to see those dancing butterflies
Not afraid anymore
Of the summer that’s coming
Think I’m close to being back to be
Who I am
Who you saw on that winter day
You with those curious tiny eyes
Handing me a plate of ham and eggs
Tina
I always wanted to find
Who you saw in me
It took a long time
But I’ve gotta tell you
I finally understand
‘Cause I’ve found the beauty
That you told me and showed me existed
Always right in this world
Right in this world
Think I’m close to being back to be
Who I am
Who you saw on that rainy day
You with the famous perfect grin
Watching me as we talked about life
Tina
I gotta let you know
Something that you may know
But I’ve got to tell you
Today
I feel happy to be alive
Happy to be kissed by the sun
Happy to feel the breeze on my skin
Not afraid anymore
Of the summer that’s coming
Of the summer that’s coming

A Wall and Sands (feat. Shun Ishiwaka & Gensuke Kanki)
Tomoko Miyata
Where do we journey when the weight of the world finally lifts? Tomoko Miyata's album "unbound" gently speaks to this question through seven intimate musical narratives.
Having honed her musical talents in Los Angeles and New York, Tomoko Miyata now resides in the serene embrace of Amami Oshima, Japan.
Here, she encounters Gensuke Kanki, a guitarist and composer who crafts a unique sound, gracefully traversing genres. His guitar work intertwines with her voice, weaving an album rich in texture and profound emotion.
Penned in both English and Japanese, the lyrics vividly depict the worlds she has known and the present moment, resonating with themes of stark beauty: the interplay of dazzling light and deep darkness, the lingering scent of memory against the immediacy of now, and the flow of time. Delicate yet powerful guitar performances embrace her voice, illuminating the intricate landscape of the heart where light and shadow dance as one. The presence of guest musicians Shun Ishiwaka on drums and Romero Lubambo on guitar further enriches this sonic tapestry.
Beyond original compositions, their reinterpretations of songs by Tom Waits and Toru Takemitsu, timeless artists who continue to touch hearts across generations, cast a new and enchanting light upon their enduring magic.
May this album gently guide each listener to their own "unbound" within, a place where the soft caress of limitless love and a delicate, unwavering light await.
