Fall Apart

Ananda Jacobs

You showed me a place

Where I could see your peaceful light in me

Once I fell for you

I was so sure I was home

And while there was no compelling reason to go

I left my life and fled

Beyond what I knew so well before

So sorry I didn’t know what would be become

Of my design for love

It’s not what I wanted to be for you

Now there's naught we can do

But concede that we're through

And watch as we fall apart

So I leap to my exalted state

Remain here in solitude

And I try to calm my plaguing doubt

So when I leap from my exalted state

You won't be here to interfere and

Carry me away from my epiphany

And we can fall apart

But I know you weren't meant to see

The reason I had to leave

While you were only standing there

I was fading away from you

Although I honestly

Had left behind what tortured me

Some things I am unable to deny

So I leap to my exalted state

Remain here in solitude

And I try to calm my plaguing doubt

So when I leap to my exalted state

You won't be here to interfere and

Carry me away from my epiphany

And we can fall apart

What you don't understand is how

I tried to contain it all for you

And lacking expressions

Of passion, of hurt, of hope and pain

We'll live our lives in knowing

That our minds are always alone

So I leap to my exalted state

Remain here in solitude

And I try to calm my plaguing doubt

So when I leap to my exalted place

You won't be here to interfere and

Carry me away from my epiphany

And we can fall apart

So I leap to my exalted place

Remain here in solitude

And I try to calm my plaguing doubt

So when I leap to my exalted place

You won't be here to interfere and

Carry me away from my epiphany

And we can fall apart

    Love Returns

    Ananda Jacobs

Based on her own spiritual experiences, "Songs of Love, Death, and Transcendence Vol. 1" encompasses themes based on deep inner realms, love, and soul connections. The album is Ananda's self-produced work in which she composed the music, wrote the lyrics, and assembled the tracks for all songs. Deep electronica, synth pop, industrial and dream pop-infused rhythm tracks resonate with pastoral soundscapes of strings and theremin, all embraced by a downpour of sublime vocals reminiscent of Enya and Sarah Brightman. The lyrics, interspersed with metaphors on eternal love and one's inner self, point to the soul in a state of revelation, gently enveloping and inviting listeners on a meditative spiritual journey. Feeling deep love, feeling the light within, feeling the connection of souls, feeling the Earth as if gazing down from the universe, all boundaries disappear and one is released. Comfortable waves carry the listener throughout the entirety of the album.
