Profile of Yoshimi Iwasaki In 1980, she made her debut as a singer with a song called "Red and Black". Her second album "Suzukaze" was ranked in TBS's "The Best Ten" and won the Best New Artist Award at the Nippon Television Music Festival. Her third song "Anatairo no Manon" won the Japan Record Award for Best New Artist and she was her first appearance on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. In 1985, "Touch" became a big hit and she won the Gold Prize at the Japan Record Award. She also narrated and sang the theme song for NHK TV's "Curious George", and continues to do so. In 2020, she released "Chanter Chanter Chanter" a CD commemorating the 40th anniversary of her debut. In February 2023, she will celebrate the 43rd anniversary of her debut. She has studied French and chanson and is energetically expanding her activities.
