NARU has restarted as a solo project after finishing its activities as a member of the COZYROOM crew, a creative collective from Osaka.
The first single "In My Bag" was released after the relaunch.
The "bag" expressed on this single represents NARU's feelings about the fact that his crewmates have gone their separate ways, and it can also be read as an empty belly created by his bare hunger for the future as a solo artist.
The pause that exists between the end of a project and its beginning. This song reflects NARU's mindset as he tries to break out of that space.

    An R&B artist based in Osaka, Japan, NARU glides over a wide spectrum of beats-from ballads to deep house, 2-step, and Afrobeats-infusing each groove with his raw, present self. Crafting lyrics that embody the urban atmosphere, he translates subtle emotional shifts into sound with lush R&B textures and intimate vocal nuance. In March, he kicked off his continuous EP project In the Direction of Light with its first installment, Scene 1 - "Aura". His release party at Osaka PURE in May drew over 300 attendees despite being a weekday event, solidifying his position as a definitive force bringing a new wave to the Japanese R&B scene.
