Celestial Maiden brings together the shimmering tones of the dan bau, sanshin, taishogoto, nose flute, and a palette of Asian percussion (Logic Pro presets).
Inspired by the celestial maiden scenes in traditional water puppet theater, this home-recorded piece channels the pure wish to join the live band that once captivated me.
The cover art pays homage to YMO (XMultiplies), reflecting the stage where countless maidens appeared in unison, multiplied in sound and vision.
