This is the first new album in 5 years by Mabumi Yamaguchi, a maestro of tenor saxophone who has been leading the Japanese jazz scene for half a century. Ryohei Komaki (b) and Tamaya Honda (ds) are trusted players who set aside. This is an ambitious work that was organized as a "cordless trio" without the piano. It is really thrilling to see the sound of Mabumi Yamaguchi being modeled in the large space that appears because it is "cordless". High-purity and high-concentration sound creates a high-quality tension.
