    HIDA ONKYO HA Formed in 2022, this improvisational unit is based in the deep mountains of Hida Takayama, Japan. Drawing inspiration from the voices of nature, they pursue raw, unpremeditated improvisation. By heavily processing voices, guitars, handmade instruments, and electronics through an array of effect pedals and processors, they create psychedelic and experimental soundscapes. Their work has been described in many ways: Sound play between the cosmos and yokai. one gal An irreversible experiment. a musician A phenomenon. a rapper I want to listen for five hours straight. a DJ Selected Works In 2024, they composed the music for the film Suguni Yuku. directed by Toshiaki Toyoda. In 2025, they released their third album Suguni Yuku. ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK on cassette.
