One day, I was standing by the window, looking at the blue sky and listening to the birds outside. The spring morning sunlight was pouring in through the window, and this melody naturally emerged as I was enveloped in warm light.

I immediately grabbed a notepad and pen that were nearby. I wrote down the first phrase of the melody that came to me, and then I heard more and more phrases and wrote them down.

The notepad was covered by hand with stickers of flowers, birds and butterflies in gold outlines, each one representing the "golden rules of the universe." I think it was a coincidence that I wrote down this musical melody on that washi memo pad so spontaneously.

It's been about seven or eight years since I wrote it down.

I've moved twice during that time, and had to sort through my belongings each time, but I've always wanted to turn it into a work of art! I want to be able to recreate that feeling! So I've continued to treasure this memo pad.
