Morning of Saint-Germain-des-Prés This is a representative piece of Piano Improvisation Poet Hiroshi Kawase. This video was performed at the end of the free concert series "The World Expanded by Wonderful Music that Resonates in the Heart! My first trip abroad, my longing for Paris, a walk on the Isle de la Cité in the Seine, and refreshing morning memories, I made this piece with Mr. Francis Lai's wonderful music in mind. I was 22 years old when I wrote this piece. I decided on the Japanese title "Morning in Saint-Germain-des-Prés" after the hotel where I was staying at the time, and then decided on the French title "Melancholy Young Daughter," which has a completely different meaning. Since French music often has a different meaning in Japanese, I dared to use a French title that is different from the Japanese one.
