This album is the first full-length release by Misawa Kaduchika with friends.
As Misawa Kaduchika, Misawa previously released a single CD in 2017, in which his role was limited to vocals and guitar. For this album, however, he invited the legendary guitarist Kazuhiko Iwami of Naniwa Express, a musician he has long admired beyond measure, to serve as producer. With the exception of one self-cover from the previous release, all songs on this album are written and composed by Misawa Kaduchika himself.

While the earlier single was produced primarily using programmed and electronic sounds, this album marks a decisive shift. It is a fully live-recorded rock album by the band unit Misawa Kaduchika with friends, featuring producer Kazuhiko Iwami as a guest guitarist, and recorded entirely with real instruments, no programmed tracks at all. Aiming to capture the raw atmosphere of a live performance, the album was recorded not through isolated overdubs, but in a studio-live format with all members playing simultaneously.
Notably, the vocals for The SHINJIRO Rice Scandal were recorded in a THE FIRST TAKE style.

All songs newly released here, written and composed by Misawa Kaduchika, represent a fusion of two worlds: the world of rock & blues that Misawa has cultivated over 45 years as a musician, and the world of public discourse and critical expression that his alter ego, Satoshi Fujii, has likewise developed over many years as a public intellectual and writer. This album is the product of that fusion, created together with the three friends who make up the band and producer Kazuhiko Iwami. In addition, a coupling track from the previous single, originally connected to the rock & blues tradition, has been reborn here as a live-recorded self-cover, adding further color and depth to the album.

Thus, with this release, the Misawa Kaduchika Project, the full-scale fusion of rock & blues and critical discourse, finally takes concrete form, erupting into existence in Reiwa-era Japan.

Rock and blues have always carried at their core anger and sorrow toward society, as well as determination in the face of life itself. Public discourse that continuously fires magic bullets at society is, even if expressed in a different form, nothing more than another articulation of the same world. There is no reason these two should not merge.

Through this album, listeners are invited to slowly, deeply, and intensely experience the true reality of contemporary Japan, into which we have been thrown, abandoned, and yet compelled to continue living, whether we like it or not, from its surface layers down to its deepest strata.
