Comparing the self of childhood to the self of now, there's a hesitation, a temptation to retreat from the threshold of adulthood. Caught between contradictory emotions, there are times when movement feels impossible. Yet, there must be something unchanging, something constant, that bridges the past and present. Even within contradictions and apparent distances, moments of overlap and convergence abound.
Turning 20 is a moment of transition-stepping forward from 1 to 2, yet looping back from 9 to 0. A universal juncture, one that everyone eventually faces. This song stands as a companion to those moments, embracing their weight and wonder.
