makafushigi Bass / Vocal: Palpunte Drums: Kosuke Yamaguchi Keyboard / Synthesizer: Couta Guitar: Yosuke610 Formed in 2024, makafushigi emerged after the duo arayasiki, a collaboration between Palpunte (bass & MIDI synth) and Kosuke Yamaguchi (drums) since 2023. With Couta (keyboards) and Yosuke610 (guitar) joining, the group evolved into a full band. Based in Tokyo and Yokohama, makafushigi is an improvisation-driven collective that transcends genre boundaries. At its core is Palpunte, who handles the bass while tweaking MIDI controllers and occasionally stepping up to the mic. Supporting him is the tight, reggae rooted drumming of Kosuke Yamaguchi, along with Couta's soft, silky layers of keys and synths. Yosuke610 completes the sound with a guitar style that navigates freely through ambient and psychedelic textures. Together, they create deeply improvisational soundscapes that invite listeners on a nice trip wherever the music leads. A trip through sound, shaped in the moment.
