This is a rendition of "Tairyo Utaikomi," a folk song from the Ishinomaki region of Miyagi Prefecture, featuring bass and vocals by Takahashi GUETAITO, a leading figure in the Japanese bass scene.

IZUMI OF JAPAN PROJECT has revived this traditional folk song with a vibrant Latin jazz arrangement.

In addition to Takahashi GUETAITO 's powerful and soulful vocals, the piece incorporates vocal synth sounds from a Roland VP-550 and the warm, rich analog sounds of a Prophet-10, resulting in a new folk jazz work that fuses Japanese tradition with modern sound design.

Percussion is provided by Miza "Mizalito" Yoshihiko, who is active in groups such as the Nettai Jazz Orchestra. His passionate Latin groove powerfully drives the song.

This ambitious work vividly depicts the lively calls of fishermen and their prayers to the sea through jazz, Latin, and synthesizer sounds. Please enjoy this new "Tairyo Utaikomi" where tradition and innovation meet.
