"Logic" is the lead single from THE SHIJUHATTS upcoming mini album, from No.5.
Recorded in the spring of 2026 at STUDIO ZOT in Asagaya, Tokyo, the track was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Ryo Hisatsune.
Born from a delay-soaked bass phrase, "Logic" is built on an electronic beat approach and a looping, synth-bass-inspired foundation. Funk-driven guitar lines weave through the groove, creating a fusion of techno and funk using only live instruments. The backing track-guitar, bass, and drums-was recorded live in a single take, while the vocal drifts between spoken word and rap.
Thoughts that appear and disappear while walking alone at night. Traces left in alleyways. Nameless voices lingering in the air. These fragmented images collide within a repeating groove as the song gradually accelerates. It culminates in a rapid-fire vocal passage before dissolving into a floating, decadent guitar solo.
An original music video will be released on June 22, 2026. "Logic"serves as a preview of THE SHIJUHATTS upcoming mini album, from No.5. The album release event will take place on August 22, 2026, at Shibuya LUSH in Tokyo, featuring VUW from Nagoya.

THE SHIJUHATTS refers to the traditional forty eight techniques of lovemaking in Japan. But for us, it also speaks to the countless techniques of survival. Moves, habits, repetitions, obsessions. THE SHIJUHATTS creates music that never quite becomes beautiful and has no interest in pretending otherwise. Awkwardly precise, precisely awkward, the band continues to shape its sound through persistence and repetition. Funk, alternative rock, hiphop, noise, and the sounds of everyday life. Everything is absorbed, chewed up, spat out, and reassembled into something new. For THE SHIJUHATTS is not only a number of techniques. It is a symbol of variation, obsession, eccentricity, and the beautiful messiness of Japanese culture.
