Released on Okinawa Memorial Day, Himeyuri no Hana is a song of remembrance, prayer, and hope. Inspired by the tragic story of the Himeyuri Student Corps during the Battle of Okinawa, the song honors the young lives lost to war and carries a message of peace for future generations.
Through heartfelt lyrics and the emotional voices of Enkyori and Yumegiwa, the song reflects on dreams cut short, irreplaceable lives, and the lasting scars left behind by conflict. The recurring phrase "Iya-sa-sa," echoing Okinawan spirit and prayer, becomes a call carried by the wind across time.
More than a memorial, this song is a promise to remember. It reminds us that there is no such thing as a war that truly protects life, and that peace must be cherished and passed on. A quiet yet powerful tribute, dedicated to those whose voices still echo through history.
Enkyori Enkyori is a music duo consisting of sappy, a vocalist from Wakayama with a transparent and pure voice, and nona, a pianist from Hokkaido who weaves warm, heartfelt melodies. The two formed the unit in February 2024 after meeting through a live streaming platform. The name Enkyori carries a double meaning: the physical distance that makes it difficult for them to meet in person, and the deep gratitude they feel for the bond of fate that brought them together. While each member is actively working as a live streamer, they continue to nurture warm connections with listeners mainly online. Their 1st single Mizutamari and 2nd single Memories are now available. Even when physically apart, their hearts are one. Through Enkyori music, gentle sounds embrace your heart and bring unforgettable scenes to life.
