だったのに中学校に陸上部がない

選んだのがカヌー

This is the 2nd EP from KANU, a rapper based in Ofuna, Kamakura.
The project features production by fellow Kayac colleague and artist okkaaa, with the entire EP composed and recorded within the company's meeting rooms.
The EP consists of three tracks, each themed around different "moments":
"KANU the Rapper" : KANU recounts the past that inspired his stage name.
"Dive": He likens his sudden life transformation - which began with his foray into rapping - to skydiving.
"Cheap Casio": He reflects on his aspirations as a rapper by drawing parallels to a wristwatch, which silently and steadily marks the passage of time.
The artwork was created by colleague Yohei Okada. It is based on a scene captured during an after-party for a solo live show hosted by KANU at the Kayac office.
Artist Profile
KANU
An employee of KAYAC Inc. and a practicing rapper. He is active across both professional and personal domains, notably writing lyrics for a promotional web movie featuring the band ORANGE RANGE as part of the company's client work. In 2025, he released his 1st EP, command+New, followed by his 2nd EP, MOMENT the next year, which was produced by his colleague and artist, okkaaa. As a project manager, he leads online courses for Sendenkaigi and leverages his driving force to energetically plan and manage live performances and events. In January 2026, he independently hosted a solo live concert at the KAYAC Inc. office, and in August of the same year, he successfully organized KAYAC SUMMER FES 2026, a summer festival where every single performer was a KAYAC employee. Viewing hip-hop not as the music of an outsider, but as something that gives us the courage to step outside and an endeavor to question existing frameworks, he focuses on creative work that empowers people by singing about his own challenges and the joy of embracing them.
