Artist Profile
pora pora.
pora pora. is a self-produced project led by a multi-talented singer-songwriter who handles everything from composition, lyric writing, and arrangement to visual design. Beyond her own work, she has composed songs for various idol groups and released four albums, including ONE-O-ONE in 2021. In October 2023, shortly before a planned study-abroad trip to Australia, a medical check-up revealed an abnormality, leading to a diagnosis of breast cancer. Following two surgeries and an extensive course of treatment, she released progressive, a five-track CD chronicling her battle with the illness, in October 2024. In October 2026, she released MUGEN, a definitive best-of collection. This unique, essential edition features tracks selected by fans, which were reconstructed from the original multi-track source files, with new mixing by Takashi Watanabe (known for his work on VOXXX and 20 by Denki Groove, Berlin Trax by Takkyu Ishino, and world world world by ORANGE RANGE) and new mastering by Kentaro Kimura (whose credits include 30 by Denki Groove, WIRE TRAX 1999-2012 by Takkyu Ishino, and digital remasters for 13 Clammbon releases). Born from the very flame of her life, these exquisite melodies have been brought back to life with unprecedented clarity and an overwhelming sense of vitality.
