STATIC BLOOM (feat. Gimmick Drive)

Hoshitarou Akeno&the dark side

Cheap perfume on the stairwell

Red numbers on the door

Someone left the faucet running

Nobody asks what for

Paper cups along the railing

Lipstick fading on the rim

Every little conversation

Ends before it can begin

Bite the wire

Taste the rust

Nothing here

Belongs to us

Static bloom

Inside the room

Growing where the signals fail

Static bloom

A crooked tune

Scratching underneath the nail

Don’t fix me

Don’t call it fate

We came too early

We stayed too late

Static bloom

Static bloom

Beautiful and out of place

Elevators keep on humming

Past the floor we meant to leave

Plastic flowers in the lobby

Practicing how to deceive

Someone wrote across the window

“Nothing lasts, so make it loud”

We erased half of the sentence

And disappeared into the crowd

Cut the cord

Kill the feed

Give me less

Than what I need

Static bloom

Inside the room

Growing where the signals fail

Static bloom

A crooked tune

Scratching underneath the nail

Don’t fix me

Don’t call it fate

We came too early

We stayed too late

Static bloom

Static bloom

Beautiful and out of place

No confession

No excuse

No permission

Left to lose

Turn the volume

Past the red

Let the speakers

Speak instead

Static bloom

Inside the room

Opening without a name

Static bloom

A broken tune

Making beauty out of blame

Don’t save me

Don’t make it clean

Leave a little

Noise between

Static bloom

Static bloom

Something strange remains

## Gimmick Drive - [Second Gear]

Dry guitars. Low-end noise. A signal coming from somewhere outside the city lights.

Gimmick Drive's second album takes the raw impulse of their debut and pushes it somewhere deeper, darker, and further out.

Sharp guitar riffs.
Heavy bass.
Stripped-down drums.
A voice carrying coldness and heat at the same time.

Written entirely in English, the album moves through the blurred edges of alternative rock, garage, punk, and indie without settling comfortably into any one place.

At times loud and abrasive.
At times strangely quiet.

There is no complete story here.

Only fragments.

Empty roads at night.
Flickering streetlights.
A half-broken amplifier.
Feelings that never found the right words.

Somewhere inside the noise, those fragments connect.

And become a record.

"Japanese girls band" no longer feels like enough of a description.

Gimmick Drive is heading somewhere.

No one knows exactly where yet.

But the engine is already running.
