    Sound Sketcher Painting Scenes with Beats Turning Landscapes into Loops Tobba Ranks is a beatmaker and DJ from Takachiho, now based in Nobeoka, Miyazaki, Japan. He creates atmospheric instrumental music that blends hip hop, dub, and ambient influences, sketching sonic landscapes with deep grooves and refined sound design. His acclaimed albums enCity Blues and Slow Dance reached No.2 and No.4 on the iTunes Instrumental Chart in Japan. He also contributed to the charity track Ayahawa for the Noto Peninsula earthquake relief, alongside Keyco, Pushim, and COMACHI. In 2024, he founded his own label groovement to share music that resonates with everyday life. Through sound, visuals, and curated projects, Tobba continues to expand his atmospheric and memory evoking expression.
