Artist Profile

  • Spada

Spada is a rapper from Shibuya, Tokyo. He began honing his freestyle skills at the age of 16 and competed in the 12th High School Rap Championship in Makuhari in 2017. He later formed the crew Normcore Boyz with five childhood friends, and in 2018 appeared at SUMMER SONIC as a finalist of "Derennno!? Summersonic!?". After years of crew activity, Spada shifted his focus toward a solo career and released his first EP, Codatronca, in 2022. In 2023, he appeared on AbemaTV's Rapstar Birth 2023, where he was selected as a finalist, drawing attention for his outstanding rap skills and powerful live performances. That same year, he released his second EP, Bubble Tape, and was chosen to provide official tracks for D.LEAGUE's KOSE 8ROCKS-following On The Stage (23-24) with TAKE OFF (24-25), marking his second consecutive year of selection. Delivered after approximately a year and a half of production, Dresscode captures Spada's current state-arrived at through years of inner conflict and exploration. It is a release that signals his reemergence as a solo artist, embodying the sensibilities shaped by Tokyo and a steadfast determination to evolve.
