Rain between the streetlights
Silver in the air
Every passing taxi
Leaves a color there
Umbrellas move like shadows
Quiet down the lane
Tokyo is speaking
In the language of the rain
Nothing has to disappear
It only has to soften here
Rain between the streetlights
Falling slow and kind
Washing all the sharp edges
From the corners of my mind
I don't need a clear sky
I don't need to understand
Rain between the streetlights
Is enough to hold my hand
Steam above the doorway
Footprints on the stone
Someone waits beneath an awning
Someone walks alone
I can hear the rail line
Like a song beneath the street
Every little drop of night
Keeps a gentle beat
Nothing has to end tonight
It only needs a softer light
Rain between the streetlights
Falling slow and kind
Washing all the sharp edges
From the corners of my mind
I don't need a clear sky
I don't need to understand
Rain between the streetlights
Is enough to hold my hand
Let it fall
Let it stay
Let it carry noise away
Rain between the streetlights
Falling slow and kind
Turning every lonely window
Into something warm and bright
I don't need a clear sky
I can meet the night as I am
Rain between the streetlights
Is enough to understand
Rain between the streetlights

A Little Light for Tomorrow
MarkCafe Tokyo
Morning Finds a Way is the second album in MarkCafe Tokyo's Soundtracks for Better Days series, written, composed and fully produced by MarkCafe Tokyo. Across sixteen songs, it follows one day in Tokyo - from the first train before sunrise through quiet morning streets, a canal-side afternoon, blue hour, rain on the journey home, coffee after closing, a midnight window and a small light carried into tomorrow. MarkCafe Tokyo created the album concept and narrative, wrote and composed the songs, and directed each track's scene, vocal character, tempo, instrumentation, structure and emotional movement. The production also involved comparing multiple versions, requesting revisions and section repairs, selecting the final performances, sequencing all sixteen tracks and conducting the final quality review. AI was used as a supporting production tool, but this is not an untouched collection of automatically generated recordings. The completed album reflects MarkCafe Tokyo's human authorship, detailed creative direction, editing, selection and emotional judgment.
