"Kusemono" is a Japanese word for someone with a strong, distinctive character - a person who doesn't quite fit the mold. In this song, it's a term of affection for those beautifully unpredictable people who make life more interesting.

EMILAND is surrounded by countless colorful characters across Japan - musicians and audience members alike. Each one radiates a powerful individuality and a vibrant energy that makes life shine.

They're never the easiest people to figure out, but they're the kind of people you always want to see again, play with again, and raise a glass with. This is a song for those lovable misfits, riding on a groove inspired by the funk beats of the 1960s.

For this recording, EMILAND welcomes Naohito "Temjin" Yomoda of Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro on trumpet, and Yasuhiro Suenatsu of ONEGRAM on saxophone.
