On an autumn night in Edo, the full moon quietly illuminates the waters of the Sumida River.
Pampas grass sways in the cool breeze as the warm lights of pleasure boats drift across the river.
"Moon-Viewing Sake - Harvest Moon -" is a moon-viewing love song set beneath the autumn sky of Edo.
Sharing sake with someone special, the two gaze at the moon and exchange a simple phrase:
"What a beautiful moon tonight."
But the moon was never really what caught the eye.
As one cup becomes another and the night grows deeper, there are still two words that refuse to come out:
"I love you."
The moon may be perfectly round,
but every word of love somehow comes out with corners.
Blending the sound of shamisen with a Hip Hop beat, the song tells a slightly tipsy, slightly timid love story from old Edo.
One more cup before the moon disappears.
Tonight, even the moon is drunk.
Liminal Reverie is an instrumental music project centered on the theme between reality and dreams. Between day and night. After the crowds fade away. Moments where reality and dreams have not yet fully separated. Liminal Reverie turns the lingering presence, afterglow, and quiet atmosphere of those moments into sound. The project is built on two complementary musical axes: Japanese side: Edo Lofi Western side: Liminal Reverie Each explores a different world, while sharing the same sense of liminality.
