I came up with the idea for the original song when I was in high school.
The melody line is upbeat, but that alone would be ordinary, so the entire song is built around a slightly melancholic, floating guitar riff.
The lyrics convey the following imagery:
We Can Fly Hand in Hand.
Spreading my wings, I want to go anywhere.
There are so many unknown worlds.
Cutting through the air, I want to transcend time and space.
I want to get closer to the light, collide with it, and burn.
Holding hands with you, I'll fly, fly, fly.
Hold me tightly, hold me, hold me.
But it's a little painful, about half of my love.
I'll take you anywhere, if that's what you want.
If our lips meet until I can't breathe.
Sleep soundly, my heart peacefully. I want to.
Bloom, bloom, bloom like a nameless flower.
Crying, getting angry, laughing because I couldn't keep my promise.
Thank you so much. These are my honest feelings.
I'll never overlook it again, even if it's burned to a crisp.
Your wings, my wings, I'm sure we'll be fine.
We can fly anywhere, we can fly anywhere.
We can hold hands and fly, we can fly anywhere.
We can fly anywhere, we're not afraid if we're together.
We can fly anywhere, we can fly anywhere, we can hold hands and fly.
