"Inaction in love" refers to a situation in which someone who has an obligation to fall in love intentionally does not follow through on that love, recognizing that this will prevent the love from developing and accepting this.
The melody was inspired by a song called "Tokai no Loneliness," which I wrote in collaboration with a lyricist I was previously friends with. It has been renewed after about 20 years.
The arrangement is in a bossa nova or MPB style.
