To the people we love most, we sometimes end up saying things we don't really mean.
But deep down, I know they are always thinking of me and doing so much for me.
That's why the words I find myself saying most are, **"I'm sorry. Thank you."**
Because I know how much they care, whenever we argue or I say something hurtful, those words naturally rise up in my heart:
**"I'm sorry. Thank you."**
This is a song about my own life, my own mistakes, and my gratitude.
River Gypsy is the music project of Yohei Sugawara, a riverboard guide whose life has been shaped by rivers, travel, and personal challenge. Based in Mitake, Okutama, Tokyo, Yohei works as a professional riverboarding and hydrospeed guide while writing songs inspired by life on the river, the feeling of moving forward by his own will, and the long detours that shape a life. His music is not created as a message for someone else, but as an expression of following his own heart and passion, born from the days he has kept moving forward while feeling lost, holding on to this way of life as if he could not let it go. Through a simple voice and guitar, River Gypsy expresses the detours of life, the uncertainty of moving forward, and the act of challenging himself while still carrying weakness.
