Songs with instrumental music. A melody that can only be sung by instrumental music, not by vocal imitation. Here it starts with the bassoon singing, then the woodwinds sing their own songs, and together. It is almost in sonata form, with no development section, but in the section that is placed instead, the harmonies stick to a single chord, creating a contrast with the song. In the coda, the song is broken into pieces and ends as if to say something.
One of the pieces in 'Divertimento'. This is followed by the final piece, 'Polka'.
I am a classical composer. My main focus is on traditional, multi-movement orchestral and chamber music, but I am characterized by a heavy emphasis on melody. This piece is one of the "Divertimento" which consists of eight movements.
