A cover of Miura Rieko's 2nd single "Suiheisen de Tsukamaete" released in 1991. In the current city pop revival and retro popularity, this classic song that has not yet been given much attention has been updated and reborn in a modern way by k.o.i. note. k.o.i. note is a cover song project that shines a light on classic songs from the past that are rarely heard today and updates them. Sound production is handled by Natsuki Harada of evening cinema, who has a track record of hits such as "Summertime" and cover arrangements of Rainych's "Mayonaka no Door / Stay With Me," and Yuho Kadono, who is active in Kuzure Mochiya and handles music direction for various idol groups. The featured singer is Yamazaki Yumeha (ex. BEYOOOOONDS/Amenomori Kawaumi). Her powerful, passionate, and soulful singing brings out the charm of this summer tune even more. In terms of sound, the charm of the original house-based song is further accentuated by the modern arrangement, making it a dance number that goes beyond the realm of idol pop. While the overall sound image of the song, as well as the use of beats, synthesizers, and SFX, are reinterpreted in a more modern way, the bold guitar solo and chorus work do not forget to respect the original song. In addition, percussion such as trumpets and congas were recorded live in this song. This creates an excellent balance between the inorganic quality of digital and the groove and dynamics of live sound. This song is the epitome of the best of the '90s and the present, and is sure to heat up this summer! Additionally, the cover art is created by Nakatsuji Sakutaro, who specializes in illustrations for book covers, advertisements, and packaging.
