This EP explores the imperfections of being human, the struggles of everyday life, and the meaning of youth, all wrapped in an uplifting pop sound.

The record opens with **"School bag,"** a vibrant anthem filled with the spirit of summer and youth, followed by **"Humor,"** kohamo's own take on traditional J-pop. **"Madoromi no Youna"** blends jazz and funk grooves into an infectious dance-rock sound, while **"Broken Heart"** transforms heartbreak and frustration into an emotional rock anthem. Closing the EP is **"Crush,"** where elegant Western pop influences meet the essence of J-pop in perfect harmony.

Approximately one year after their 2nd EP, kohamo returns with a bold new release that showcases the band's remarkable growth. One of the most anticipated Japanese releases of 2026 has arrived.

Artist Profile

  • kohamo

    Formed in 2024 in the Hokusetsu area of Osaka, they are a four-piece band active mainly in Osaka and Tokyo. Influenced by J-pop artists such as Southern All Stars and Gen Hoshino, as well as 80s UK and US music and The 1975, their sound is characterized by a wide range of diverse approaches depending on the song, along with lyrics by vocalist Kaiki Miura that delve into the essence of human nature. In the spring of 2025, marking their second year of activity, they released their 2nd EP "Kirakira no Watashitachi." Three songs from the EP were selected for Spotifys official playlist "Kirakira Pop Japan," with the band also being featured on its top cover. They performed at "Inazuma Rock Fes 2025" and appeared at the Japan-focused rock festival "Concrete Jam 2025" in Korea, expanding their activities internationally. Additionally, their January 2026 release "Conto" has garnered approximately 1 million total views on social media, steadily attracting attention.
