NOMAD POP, a five-piece band that fuses Japan's unique lyricism with a sense of the near future, is releasing its first mini-album, "PRISMATIC NOMAD LOVE," as its first full-fledged start after joining the indie label "HYPE.
The album, produced fully remotely under a state of emergency declaration, contains five songs including prior singles such as the electro-tune "La La Lites Camera Action", which goes through the affirmation of existence, and the anthem "Ningen-sanka", which is about the beauty of seeking each other even after being hurt. The new songs include three songs that expand in both sound image and lyric, such as "SHIOSAI / Shiosai," which sings about the helplessness of beautifying memories on the beach.
Inspired by the structure of a single prism reflecting different colors, the songs symbolize the fact that "they are different, yet one, and they affect each other".
To celebrate the release of their mini album, they will hold a solo live performance "PRISMATIC NOMAD WORLD" @ Kichijoji Planet K on December 17 (Thursday). In compliance with the guideline against the new coronavirus, limited edition editions including unrecorded songs will be available only on this day.
