Tokaido Midnight Misadventures - Station One
Floating Graffiti ~Shinagawa Night Sketches~
Shinagawa, the first station of the Tokaido Road.
By day, it is a bustling harbor town filled with travelers and merchants.
By night, it reveals a completely different face.
Moonlight reflecting on the canals.
Boats gently drifting in the water.
Lanterns glowing along the streets.
And quietly, unseen by most,
new colors begin to appear upon bridges and walls.
"Floating Graffiti ~Shinagawa Night Sketches~"
reimagines Hiroshige's Shinagawa through the lens of modern street art culture,
serving as the opening chapter of the
Tokaido Midnight Misadventures series.
Ukiyo-e and graffiti.
Tradition and rebellion.
Edo and the modern city.
Worlds that should never meet somehow blend together beneath the same night sky.
Driven by dusty Boom-Bap rhythms,
swinging grooves,
shamisen riffs,
and the breeze from the harbor,
the track captures a night where a karakuri carriage races through the streets while new stories are painted across the town.
These markings are more than drawings.
They are traces of people who lived through that moment.
Tonight, another story is painted onto the walls of Shinagawa.
Sit back,
relax,
and enjoy a night where the Floating World meets street culture
Liminal Reverie is an instrumental music project centered on the theme between reality and dreams. Between day and night. After the crowds fade away. Moments where reality and dreams have not yet fully separated. Liminal Reverie turns the lingering presence, afterglow, and quiet atmosphere of those moments into sound. The project is built on two complementary musical axes: Japanese side: Edo Lofi Western side: Liminal Reverie Each explores a different world, while sharing the same sense of liminality.
