Stop the music

Stop the moment

    Kei Hatori

The second solo EP by Kei Hatori, a songwriter and track maker born in 2002 with diverse musicality. This work was made about half a year after the last release. He self-taught songwriting and arrangement, and plays colorful pop music that incorporates sound programming and contemporary music. IDM "The Moist Attack" "R003" inspired by the post-rave sound of the 2000s. An advanced approach to his rhythm that can be seen in "No Psychology" that incorporates trip-hop techniques. And "Make it Alright" develops a dreamy pop sound that crosses glitchy hardcore hip-hop and noise music. "Withdraw the Proceedings" shows catchy songwriting like jazz in the 1950s, all of which show his greedy pursuit of composition and arrangement. In addition, the overly cynical poetry world of "Painful Convulsions" and "Autolife" is a surprisingly objective depiction of the distorted emotions of the younger generation. The self-produced activity, in which he handles engineering, video production, and artwork by himself, can be said to be the emergence of a rising star in the Japanese underground scene.
