Artist Profile
Tsutomu
Tsutomu is a singer-songwriter from Saga, Japan, currently based in Tokyo. Known for his powerful yet clear voice and rhythmic percussive guitar style, he creates acoustic-driven music with memorable melodies and emotionally direct lyrics. After moving to Tokyo in 2008, he began his career as part of a music unit and launched his solo career in 2011. Since then, he has performed at resort hotels, cafes, outdoor events, shopping centers, live music venues, and concert halls across Japan. In 2019, he held a successful solo concert at Nerima Culture Center in Tokyo, drawing an audience of more than 300 people. He released his second album, NEXT, in 2022, followed by his third album, Hobutsusen, in 2025. Hobutsusen reached multiple positions on the LINE MUSIC charts and has surpassed 2 million total streams across digital platforms. In 2026, Tsutomu celebrates the 15th anniversary of his solo career with the project Aka no Kodo. The title song was released in June 2026, and the project continues through live performances, music releases, video content, and online streaming. Tsutomu independently handles songwriting, composition, video production, and digital promotion, continuing to share music that connects through the warmth of his voice and guitar.
