A four-piece band based in Tokyo. They started out as a reggae/dub band, but gradually developed into a musical style that blended the influences of various genres such as jazz, soul, psychedelic pop, new age, and exotica. Their music is characterized by colorful melodies and fantastic sounds based on groove and euphoria. In 2024, they released the EP "Ramble In The Rainbow" overseas from Peoples Potential Unlimited (PPU), a label in Washington, D.C., USA. Immediately after the release, it was introduced on Gilles Peterson's BBC Radio 6 Music and NTS Radio programs, and the following week it appeared on the cover of Bandcamp Weekly and was featured in a special feature on their work, attracting attention. Since then, it has been played by radio and DJs in various countries, and at the end of the year it was selected as the best work of the year in multiple places, including Bandcamp and Mr. Bongo. In Japan, it was selected as "Future Of Music 2024" by Rolling Stone Japan, and it caused a stir all over the country. In addition to performing at domestic festivals such as Fuji Rock, in recent years they have expanded their activities overseas to Canada, Korea, Australia, etc. In May 2025, they will release their full album "Where They Dwell". The new EP "Ramble In The Rainbow"(2024) is their first international release on the US label PPU(People's Potential Unlimited). The day after its release, Gilles Peterson selected the title song for his BBC Radio 6 track list, and Bandcamp Weekly selected TAMTAM for its cover and ran a feature on the album. They were also selected to represent Japan in the "Future of music 2024" nominated by Rolling Stone magazine. The song was also added to many playlists in Japan.
