This song uses the melodies of "Sakura Sakura" and "Oboro Tsukiyo", two popular Japanese folk songs from long ago, to create a creative arrangement that evokes spring in Kamakura, the capital of Japan, which flourished nearly 1,000 years ago. The performance will be accompanied by Japanese traditional instruments such as the Hichiriki (bamboo flute), Koto (stringed instrument), and Tatsuzumi (percussion instrument), Chinese Erhu (Chinese violin) and Western piano, and sung by Mami Goto, who specializes in classic songs. The lyrics of "Oboro Tsukiyo" include the words "field of rape blossoms," synonymous with spring, and the music video was shot in various locations, including Kominato Railway in Chiba Prefecture, famous for its rape blossoms along the railroad tracks, and Mishima Taisha Shrine in Shizuoka Prefecture, with its beautiful cherry blossoms. Also featured are vocalist Mami Goto and Hichichichiriki player Motonori Miura. Please enjoy the music and images.
