"Tuning to Hear" .
His search for the frequency that matches the music is another circuit, separate from the radio.
It seems to be a process of contacting the inner circuit deep inside his mind and maintaining mental balance.

He listens to music with the sound of rain in the background.
And also hear the sound of rain against the background of music. The motif of "Raining to Hear" was created and released in 2020.
"Tuning to Hear" is a spin-off of "Raining to Hear".

The rain-like, rippling noise layered over the piano music is the tuning noise of a shortwave radio.
Iwamura Ryuta uses a shortwave radio as a "noise generator" in this work.

The only physical release is a cassette tape.
The work is completed through the listener's profoundly eccentric act of listening to the tuning noises coming from the boom box.

Various variations of tuning noises are created by randomly turning the radio's selection dial.
The noise is not unique to each frequency and is not reproducible.

It may be described as a "tone" that is generated by chance, due to a complex combination of weather conditions such as rainfall, snowfall, and wind, time of day, antenna direction, indoor noise sources, and distance between the body and the radio.

The design was created by Noritake, who has worked on many of Iwamura Ryuta's works.
