Fried Banana Shop was formed in 2021 by Yoji (Sax), Tomo (Gt.), and Ryuju (Dr.). They mix elements of Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Rock from their respective roots and sublimate them into a unique indie-pop sound. By collaborating with musicians from various fields, including vocalists and rappers, their musicality is not bound by genres, but rather expands across a wide range of musical genres. Live performances are mainly at club events in Tokyo. They perform a variety of musical expressions that are not bound by existing band formats. They have been steadily gaining support from the public, recording a turnout of over 100 people at the first event they hosted.
Julia Takada is a Tokyo-based indie pop singer signed to the creative label w.a.u., while also working as a freelance model. With a background in both Japan and the United States, she is known for her distinctive voice that feels both uplifting and delicate. Her debut single, "Don't Know Who I Am," released in August 2021, was featured in the film The Most Harmless and Too Offensive, which was selected as a "Yubari Hope" at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. She also appeared in "dreamers," an interview project presented by ahamo. On March 12, 2025, she released her second EP, You & I. The project was featured as the cover of Spotify's official playlist "Edge!" and has also been included in playlists such as "Borderless," "Girls On Fire," and "Woman's Voice," as well as Apple Music's official playlists "Latest Songs: J-Rock" and "Latest Songs: Alternative," further establishing her presence in the indie music scene.
