Biased

Taichi Mukai

Where did you go?

Let me know

Baby I know what you want

I know what you want yeah

I know what you want

I know what you want

I know what you want yeah

Let me know

Where did you go?

Let me know

See you tomorrow

Where did you go?

Let me know

Baby I know what you want

I know what you want yeah

I know what you want

I know what you want

I know what you want yeah

Let me know

Singer songwriter Taichi Mukai will release his new album 34 on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Celebrating the tenth anniversary of his debut in 2026, Mukai has named the album after his current age, 34. The album brings together ten songs that reflect his musical identity today as well as the experiences he has accumulated throughout his career.

In 2025, Mukai left the management company he had been with for many years and began working independently. As his creative environment and approach to his career changed, he took the opportunity to reconnect with his music and develop this album from a new perspective.

The title 34 represents not only the milestone of his tenth anniversary as an artist, but also his desire to capture who he is at the age of 34 through his music.

The songs explore a range of experiences and emotions that have shaped Mukai up to this point, including personal relationships and changes in the environment surrounding him. Through ten songs, each approaching these themes from a different perspective, the album presents a portrait of Taichi Mukai as he is today.

The album features ten tracks in total, including the previously released singles 404 and End Roll.

For the production of the album, Mukai once again worked closely with Lumel and 2hak, his frequent collaborators in recent years, alongside FLAME, NEXXT, HEMIAN and Hilanos. Mukai wrote the lyrics for every track on the album. While remaining rooted in the R and B sound that has defined much of his work, 34 explores a variety of sonic approaches across its ten tracks.

For the album artwork, Mukai once again collaborated with photographer Maciej Kucia, who also photographed the artwork for the single End Roll. The visual direction further expands the world and identity of 34.

34 will be released digitally as well as on CD.

Following the release of the album, Mukai will embark on THE 34 TOUR, visiting five cities across Asia including Taipei, Hong Kong, Osaka, Fukuoka and Tokyo. With his tenth anniversary and the release of 34 marking a new chapter, Mukai continues to expand his activities both in Japan and internationally.
