The electro dream pop project Wednesday Wonderland., led by musician Recrown, has released the single "Don't Worry".
The song explores the theme of moving to the big city, expressing a determination to break free from everything that once surrounded the narrator familiar places, cherished memories, and even a painful past to embrace a new and exciting life. The music gradually unfolds with grandeur, mirroring the accelerating speed of the night bus carrying them away from their small hometown.
''Don't worry I leave this town tonight without you because my life is just my life.''
A solo project that began in Tokyo in 2025. Blending nostalgic, floating electronic textures reminiscent of electronica and dream pop with band-oriented sounds, the project creates songs sung through a fragile, machine-like voice. In addition to vocal tracks, numerous instrumental pieces influenced by ambient and lo-fi hip-hop have also been released. Moving fluidly between a band style approach and track-based production, the project presents a unique sonic world where both axes are closely intertwined. All aspects of production from recording to mixing and mastering are handled independently, with the entire creative process completed in a bedroom studio. Music videos and artwork are also primarily self-produced. Currently active mainly in Tokyo, the project performs live in a variety of formats including the Wednesday Wonderland. Band Set,Trio Set, and Solo Set. Despite being a fully independent DIY project, within just one year of activity the second EP Wherever, Whenever, Whatever, Forever reached No.1 on the iTunes Japan Instrumental Album Chart. The project has also been featured on numerous official Spotify playlists, released collaborative works with the internationally recognized label Lonely Girl, and surpassed 8,500 followers on Instagram continuing to grow and attract attention both in Japan and abroad.
