I wandered nine mountains high
Finding thee, O dearest love
I filled my cup with silver droplets
Silently drop by drop
I will tell the bright moon a tale
To shine throughout the night
In the morning I will sing
Long poems to the sun
Gelino, Gelino
Come slowly,O love, My heart is waiting
Gelino, Gelino
The doorway is high, but soft my heart is reaching
The gentle earth shall cradle us
To rest our weary souls
The endless sky shall veil us soft
To guard our silent dreams
The tender wind will sing a lullaby
And whisper, “sleep, my dear.”
The distant stars will burn in grace
To guide us through the dark
Gelino, Gelino
You, still love, surround me calm and tender
Gelino, Gelino
You, firm heart, bless me now, calm and steady
Gelino, Gelino
My voice fades where silence will bloom

SATOSHI
This arrangement reimagines the traditional Georgian folk song "Gelino" through serene polyphony and modern, heavy sonic textures.
The first half highlights the folk melody's simplicity and prayer-like character with layered harmonies and gentle accompaniment, while the latter half expands into a soundscape reminiscent of Post-Metal and Blackgaze.
Tremolo-driven, hard-edged riffs, ambient layers, and a heavy wall of distortion overlap to preserve the song's original purity, fragility, and warmth, while adding deeper emotional weight and a contemporary resonance.
For this release, I created a newly written English translation based on the original Georgian text and used it as the lyrics. Although several English translations exist, it is rare to find versions that are actually performed as sung lyrics.
With deep respect for Georgian musical heritage, this arrangement brings together the song's folk roots and a new, modern interpretation.
Artist Profile
SATOSHI
SATOSHI is a composer shaping spiritual post-rock, blackgaze, and ambient soundscapes that move between overwhelming intensity and profound silence. Influenced by classical harmony, sacred traditions, and Japanese melodic sensibilities, his music weaves layered textures that explore prayer, inner journeys, and ethereal depth. Eclesiah is his personal mythos - a spiritual post-rock vision where silence, light and shadow, and immense sound converge. Through expansive yet delicate atmospheres, SATOSHI invites listeners into spaces of spiritual stillness and deep imagination. Notable works include Agní Parthéne, Gelino, Lotus, Barren Stone, and Ashfall. Agní Parthéne reached #22 on the iTunes Greece Rock Top Songs chart in 2025.
