A red circle

A stark white calendar hanging on the wall. A tiny number for your birthday, still several months away. Gently, I drew a small circle with a red pen, making sure no one would find it-this pure and slightly bittersweet flutter of love, tucked quietly into the depths of the chest, is sublimated into a modern indie folk (chamber pop) track. To completely differentiate the melody from all previous songs, it adopts a "straightforward, conjunct-driven melody line" that moves step-by-step like climbing stairs, rather than taking large leaps in pitch. An absolute "aesthetic of subtraction," completely eliminating heavy drums and bass to construct the song with nothing but acoustic guitar and cello, emotionally paints the endearing time spent counting down the days one by one.
