Lambada, a big hit in Europe and around the world in 1988, is based on the song "Llorando Se Fue" by the South American Bolivian folklore group Los Carcas. The duet is performed by new and old DIVA, Miyuki Hatakeyama and Sandii.

Sandii
Sandii lived in Hawaii during her late teens and most of her 20s. In that period, she sang in clubs and studied hula with Aunty Bella Richards of Kailua. She also met and bonded with Pattye Kealohalani Wright, who later became a Kumu Hula through Aunty Lani Kalama (1990). Sandii has the various, many different musical phases of her recording career. She has recorded as Sandi Ai, Sandy Hohn, Sandii & the Sunsetz, and now as Sandii. Since 1996, her albums have been Hawaiian or Polynesian-theme.
