The single "Self-Portrait" has a groovy bass line at its core and combines the synths that symbolize 90s West Coast hip-hop with the drum patterns unique to 2000s hip-hop to create a funky track that will make your body move naturally. The track also features several sampling of artists who have influenced each member of the group.
Lyrically, the main theme of the song is that "no one can write a good self-portrait" or in other words, "you don't know yourself as well as you think you do".
I think the biggest contradiction and mystery of human beings is that "we don't know ourselves as well as we think we do. We are trying to ironically laugh at such ambivalence of human beings in this song.
Rapper/trackmaker born in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1999. I call my lifestyle "LIFE STYLE MAFIA." He does not smoke, do drugs, or drink, and always gets up at 7 in the morning. Based on the idea that "life and music are inseparable," I incorporate the discomfort and questions he feels in his daily life into his music. After graduating from university, he moved to a mysterious music share house "DUCK HOUSE" in Daikokucho, Osaka. He has been working day and night to connect with a variety of musicians at this music share house. He is also an MC of Black petrol, a HipHop collective in Kansai area
