A father of two. A working man.

In the gaps between work and raising my children,
I grab whatever instruments are lying around the house
and play without thinking.

An analog synth. A bass. A toy piano. Children's drums.

I don't polish it.
I don't decorate it.
I don't aim for perfection.

I simply record the moment as it is.

Perfect technique is everywhere.
AI-optimized sound is everywhere too.

We already have more than enough of it.

So this is

Imperfect.
Rough.
Noise.

But somewhere inside that noise,
there is a breath that exists nowhere else.

There is an impulse that can only sound in that exact moment.

Music should be freer.

This song was improvised while drunkenly cooking hotpot with friends at home. The lyrics were written on the spot, and it sparked the formation of a band, making it a memorable tune. This story from the past is now available on Kindle as Jenny Rain with a Pistol. The initial flute sound came from a flute my child received somewhere, so I tried playing it. Recorded with a nearly broken phone, the music was improvised, giving it a cozy, intimate feel. Enjoy!
