This song was written in my early twenties. The walls of my apartment were thin, so I couldn't sing at full volume, so I would practice screaming at the top of my lungs every night on the footbridge over Kan-nana in Koenji, where I lived at the time. Sometimes I'd hear the sound of frightened people walking quickly past me without looking back.
For example, whether it's novels, manga, TV dramas, or movies, they're all basically lies, and I'm aware that I'm being manipulated by them. I wrote this song with the desire to see what would happen if I tried to create a song that allowed me to freely vocalize in an improvisational style, within the repetition of the two chords of truth and lies.
It's also the title track of my first album, and people often mistake the title for "It's So Delicious."
