Artist Profile
Yung Schizo
Born and raised in Yokohama in 2000. Though his life seemed to be going well, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia immediately after entering university. Unable to hide his confusion at the sudden dark clouds that had appeared, he became confused and spent about three months in isolation in a psychiatric ward. After being released from the hospital, he spent about five years recuperating. Yung Schizo, whose emotional scars have yet to heal, has begun making music, which he has always loved. He is an artist who uses lyrics born from his own emotions and a mellow voice to resonate with his listeners. The artist whose musical style influenced him is Stunna Gambino. Until now, he has wanted to "go back to his smooth life," but as he was creating music, he came to the conclusion that "I'm going to live with schizophrenia." Although his career has only just begun, he is also determined to promote himself, such as by creating his own official website.
