"Sora made tsuzuku umi yori mo" (More Than the Sea That Stretches to the Sky) was written during a songwriting retreat in Okinawa.
At the time, I was overwhelmed struggling to write, even surrounded by beautiful beaches and delicious food. But through that frustration, I realized just how deeply music matters to me and how much I had taken my ordinary life for granted.
In the lyrics, I sing of a love so big, it makes the ocean and sunset pale in comparison. It's about realizing the true value of someone not after theyre gone, but while theyre still by your side.
Blending soft waves and a touch of country influence, this track carries a refreshing yet bittersweet vibe. I hope it encourages listeners to treasure what they have before it slips away.
